Athens Strikes Back was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Kassandra:Chaire, statesman. I don't suppose you could use a mercenary's help today?
Man:I saw you at the Pnyx while Perikles was giving his speech. Are you an Athenian citizen?
Kassandra:I'm not an Athenian, but I am a mercenary, so I wouldn't cause any trouble if I were you.
Man:Right. Well. Maybe you would benefit from showing your loyalty to the great city of Athens!
Kassandra:What do you have in mind?
Man:You heard Kleon. A Spartan commander is mobilizing forces outside our gates, and Perikles does nothing. We need to show the Spartans that we aren't cowards in here.
Kassandra:And having me kill the Spartan commander would solve the problem?
Man:Yes. He must die.
("The commander's head is mine.")
Kassandra:I'll handle this.
Man:Get this done quickly.
Kassandra:Leave it to me.
Kassandra hunts the Spartan commander
Kassandra left to locate the Spartan commander outside of Athens. After eliminating the commander, she returned to the politician.
