Defense of Samos was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5 and a memory of Layla herself.

Kassandra and Herodotos saw the Persian fleet arriving at Samos.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Kassandra boarded the Adrestia and approached the fleet.

  • Herodotos: We can't let them reach Samos. It's up to us.
  • Herodotos: There they are! Persian ships!

With two destroyed.

  • Herodotos: Destroy them all!

With all the ships destroyed, she spoke with Herodotos.

  • Herodotos: Samos is safe.
  • Kassandra: What about Mestor?
  • Herodotos: After his failure, he won't get a second chance. Plus, there's no way he'd stay on Samos now.

  • Kassandra: About Theodoros... It was my fault you accused him.
  • Herodotos: But only because I didn't trust myself enough to do so.
  • Kassandra: But you trusted me.
  • Herodotos: My trust in you was sound. It was still my choice to accuse him, not yours.

  • Kassandra: Theodoros has changed.
  • Herodotos: He's the Theodoros I remembered. He was always willing to admit fault. It's a trait too few people share.
  • Kassandra: Then you believe things will be OK? Even if you leave Samos again?
  • Herodotos: Of course. Theodoros has work to do here, and he understands mine is elsewhere.
  • Kassandra: Good.

  • Herodotos: Thank you for everything, Kassandra. Without you, I couldn't have gotten through this.

Kassandra defeated the four Persian ships with the Adrestia.
