The Kretan Bull was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description[edit | edit source]

On the advice of Daphnae, the leader of the Daughters of Artemis, Kassandra travelled to Messara to hunt down the fabled Kretan Bull.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Kassandra tracked the Kretan Bull to a bog in central Messenia. Ikaros spied it from afar.

  • Kassandra: Look at that. Father of the Minotaur.

Kassandra engaged the bull in combat and dodged its charges. As the battle dragged on, the bull seemed to leverage its front legs and horns to flail its entire body weight in successive strikes at Kassandra, but she eventually defeated it. She collected its pelt.

Kassandra returned to Daphnae to deliver the pelt.

  • Daphnae: Beast Slayer, I'm glad to see you again.

("I have the Kretan Bull pelt.")

  • Kassandra: The bull put up quite a fight, but his pelt is yours.

Kassandra handed the pelt over to Daphnae.

  • Daphnae: You are remarkable!

  • Kassandra: Years of training made me a warrior. Life as a misthios has honed those abilities.
  • Daphnae: Then at the least you should applaud yourself for your dedication to your... art.

  • Kassandra: No more than the bull. The gods have blessed us with a world of wonder, and we should honor it.
  • Daphnae: Spoken like a true Daughter of Artemis.
