The Krokottas Hyena was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description[edit | edit source]

As tasked by Daphnae, the acting leader of the Daughters of Artemis, Kassandra hunted down the fabled Krokottas Hyena.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Kassandra travelled to Kythera Island. At the southernmost region, she found the hyena in its den.

  • Kassandra: I've never seen such a monster! This beast isn't even native to these lands.

Kassandra approached the den and attacked the hyena. The beast cackled as it lunged back and forth at Kassandra, but she dodged its lunges and eventually brought it down, looting its pelt afterwards.

Kassandra returned to Daphnae to deliver the pelt.

  • Daphnae: Beast Slayer, I'm glad to see you again.

("I have the Krokottas Hyena pelt.")

  • Kassandra: Here, the hyena's pelt. Take it. These flea-ridden carrion eaters disgust me!

Kassandra handed the pelt over to Daphnae.

  • Daphnae: We must learn to see the beauty in all things.

  • Kassandra: You're right. It's just an animal, doing what's in its nature.
  • Daphnae: Aren't we all?

  • Kassandra: No, not in something like this, that feeds off the dead!
  • Daphnae: It is part of the cycle of life. All things die, and it's not as if we don't feast on dead flesh.

(Leave – "I'll return soon.")

  • Kassandra: I'll return when I have more pelts.
