Teach a Dog New Kicks was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]

Naoe and Yasuke begins their first training session with Kane and Kinu.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Naoe and Yasuke returned to the Gylph Door, where Kane and Kinu remained at.
- Kane: I wonder what Yasuke the legendary has in store for me.
- Kinu: He could give you etiquette lessons?
- Kane: Your face needs etiquette lessons.
They approached the two.
- Kane: We were just limbering up. I'm very flexible, sir. Like a wet noodle!
- Yasuke: I cannot wait to see.
- Kane: We're ready to train if you're ready to teach.
- Yasuke: All right, let us start.
Naoe and Yasuke changed into their practice outfit and begin their lesson with the two.
- Yasuke: Now, when your weapon is occupied, you must rely on the strength of your own body. At times, a strong kick will do the job. Not only does it keep enemies from your vital core, but kick hard enough, and they will take flight.
Yasuke and Kinu bowed to one another.
- Yasuke: Brace your stomach.
Within a moment, Yasuke gave a big kick to Kinu, sending him flying a few meters away.
- Kinu: Oof. (whimpers)
- Kane: I've been wanting to do that to him for years. Let me try!
- Yasuke: Square your hips. Ground yourself. Draw power from the earth.
- Kane: (braces)
Kane took up position as Yasuke taught and gave a kick to the samurai's chest, but causing no damage in return. Kane clutched his leg in pain.
- Kane: Ow! (whimpers)
- Naoe: Should have mentioned needing a backup plan when the enemy's twice your size.
Kinu, who recovered, returned to the group.
- Kinu: I could use that lesson.
- Yasuke: Good point. Want to show them how it is done?
Naoe nodded and got up.
- Yasuke: The goal is to lift them off the ground. Send Kinu flying!
As instructed, Naoe gave a flying kick to Kinu, who was almost knocked away.
- Yasuke: You can do better than that. Another!
Naoe performed the kick again, but the outcome was the same as before.
- Yasuke: Try again!
On her third try, Naoe succeeded in sending Kinu flying.
- Kane: Aaaahhhhhh!
- Yasuke: Now that is a kick! Keep it up!
After a short while, Kinu returned from the beating he got from Naoe.
- Kane: I could watch that all day!
- Yasuke: All right. Time to bring out the barrels.
The group walked to several stacks of barrels near a cliff.
- Kane: Finally. A drink!
- Yasuke: Not barrels of sake, Kane. Naoe will practice kicking you into them.
- Kinu: Don't worry about me, sir. Kane's made me sleep in a barrel before.
- Kane: He always wakes up justg before I roll him into the river.
Kane and Kinu took position in front of the stacks of barrels.
- Yasuke: Make them fly!
Naoe first kicked Kane into the barrel stack.
- Kane: Aaaahhhhhh!
- Kinu: (giggles) Bye Kane!
Naoe next gave Kinu a good kick.
- Kinu: Good one!
- Yasuke: That probably hurt.
Kane and Kinu got up clutching their body, suffering from the kicks received from both Naoe and Yasuke.
- Naoe: You guys don't look so good.
- Kane: Never been better.
- Kinu: If you need more practice on me, I'm here. I'm a human training dummy.
- Kane: You're just a dummy, dummy!
- Yasuke: Will my lesson help you?
- Naoe: Definitely. I can see my enemies flying already.'
- Kane: We'll master it too before you know it.
- Kinu: Have some of our riddle scrolls.
Kinu handed the scrolls over.
- Kinu: Is there something you can teach us, miss Naoe?
- Naoe: Oh, I'm sure there's something I can do.
- Kane: Then we need to prepare. Come back tomorrow. When I've regained feeling in my body.
Following the conclusion, Kinu and Kane walked back to their camp.
- Kinu: I can't feel my spine.
- Kane: I didn't know you had one!
- Kinu: A rest will do me good. A rest, and a new torso.
- Kane: Sure, I've been kicked out of sake breweries before. But that was ridiculous!
I'll be a whole new man tomorrow. But Kinu, he'll be the same old fool. - Kinu: Don't worry, miss. I'll be in top shape tomorrow!
Naoe spoke to herself.
- Naoe: I'll let them sleep off some of the pain. Before I inflict more tomorrow.

Yasuke taught the skill of kicking to Naoe, Kane and Kinu, using the latter two as practice.
