The Fields of Elysium

Elysium, also known as the Fields of Elysium or the Elysian Fields, was an Isu realm which was later depicted by the ancient Greeks as an aspect of the afterlife, said to be reserved for honorable individuals who were worthy of spending eternity in paradise.

The realm was ruled by Persephone, after it was gifted to her by her husband, Hades. She was free to shape the realm to her liking, but it also functioned as her prison following her abduction by Hades.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited a simulation of Elysium created by Aletheia in order to allow Kassandra, as "the Keeper", to strengthen herself and master the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus, in preparation for it eventually being handed over to Layla Hassan, the "Heir of Memories".[2]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The banner of Elysium features an image of a cornucopia, also called the horn of plenty, which was associated with numerous Greek deities.
