The Spear of Leonidas, also known as the Blade of Leonidas, was an Isu weapon wielded by the Spartan King Leonidas. Following his death, Leonidas' now broken spear was eventually passed on to his daughter, and then to his grandchild. The spear was said to possess otherworldly properties.
Capabilities
The Spear was able to bestow upon its wielder enhanced strength, as well as grant them access to a myriad of other supernatural abilities.[1]
Trivia
- The Spear replaces the Hidden Blade used in the genetic memory portion, and can be used as a projectile similar to the Phantom Blade in Unity.
- This marks the first time an Isu artifact is used by the player at the start of a main installment entry in the franchise.
- When not being used in combat, the Spear is stored in a holster located on the Misthios' quiver, but in combat it is wielded as a dagger.
- Although taking place centuries well before the founding of the Brotherhood in Origins, the Assassin's Emblem can be seen in design hints on the Spear: the tip has an elongated verticle apex of the emblem, while the handle has a partly noticable Assassin's icon when the spear blade meets the handle.
