The Mousquetaire Noir (English: Black Musketeer) was an Assassin belonging to the Parisian Brotherhood who had been trained by former musketeers. She was active at the time of the French Revolution.

Behind the scene

Everything about the Mousquetaire Noir is an amalgam of different media or trivia points: the above quote is a line spoken by the character Aramis in the French author Alexandre Dumas' 1844 novel The Three Musketeers; the name used, while also a regiment within the Musketeers of the Guard, has also been applied to Alexandre himself on account of his Haitian heritage; and the image reuses art of the character Angélique Chevrier, who appeared in the companion app for the 2014 video game Assassin's Creed: Unity.
