History
Excalibur was created by Hephaestus, "the maker", during the Isu Era to bring about the end of the War of Unification.[2] It first wielder was the Aesir Isu Tyr, until his possible death along with the rest of the Aesir in the Great Catastrophe which they called Ragnarök. At some point after; it was later taken to Britain.[3]
By the 6th century, the Sword had become lodged in a stone. In time, it was pulled out by the young Briton leader Arthur, who, with backing from the local chapter of the Order of the Ancients,[3] used the blade to rally his people in defense of their lands against the invading Saxons.[1] However, he was later betrayed, ultimately leading to his death, and the location of the sword was lost to history.[4]
Nearly three hundred years later in the late-9th century, Excalibur was recovered and claimed by the Viking Eivor, a member of the Raven Clan who had left Norway's endless wars and lack of resrources to settle and start a new life in England.[3]
