They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me Phanes.

"My name is irrelevant, but you can call me Phanes. I was the first scientist to successfully create a human being."
―Phanes, c. 75000 BCE.[src]-[m]

The individual known as Phanes was a highly regarded Isu scientist from Eden and the creator of the human species.

History

Phanes eventually fell in love with one of the humans he had created. Abhorred by this, his peers attempted to expunge his name from the their histories. Phanes fled to Atlantis with his beloved. Some time later, much to his surprise, Phanes' lover became pregnant with a baby girl, whom they named Eve. Their situation became ever more precarious, as the other Isu wanted to conduct experiments on the hybrid.[1]

Legacy

Despite the Isu's attempts to eradicate all proof of Phanes' existence, his memory survived and he was transformed into a primeval deity of procreation and the generation of new life in Greek mythology.
