Phanes was one of the most highly regarded Isu scientist from Eden and the creator of the human species. His name was expunged from the Isu's records, after he fell in love and fled to Atlantis with one of his creations. Eventually and much to his surprise, Phanes' lover became pregnant with a baby girl, which they named Eve. Their situation became ever more precarious, as the other Isu wanted to conduct experiments on the hybrid.[1]
