Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator (69 BCE – 30 BCE) was the last effective Pharaoh of the Ptolemaic dynasty of Egypt, ruling from 51 to 30 BCE.
Initially sharing power with her father, and later, with her brothers, Cleopatra was soon exiled by her younger brother Ptolemy XIII, and fled Alexandria. During her years in exile, Cleopatra made the acquaintance of Bayek, a Medjay whose wife, Aya, served Cleopatra. Following this, Cleopatra would meet and start a liaison with Gaius Julius Caesar, who aided Cleopatra in her struggle and her younger brother.[1] Through his aid, Cleopatra eventually gained sole control of Egypt, under the watchful eye of the Templars.[2]
Year later, in 30 BCE, Cleopatra would die inside her palace, after being poisoned by a venomous asp used by the Assassin Amunet.[3]
In 2012, she was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[4]
