Bane of Hathor (died 48 BCE) was a Phylakes who patrolled Atef-Pehu Nome and the northern riverside of Haueris Nome in Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII. As befit his epithet's mention of the Egyptian goddess Hathor, who was often depicted as a cow, the Bane's helmet was decorated with cow horns. After the Medjay Bayek of Siwa assassinated the Phylakes' leader Gennadios,[1] the Phylakes were given orders to locate and hunt down Bayek. However, in 48 BCE, Bayek instead found and killed the Bane of Hathor, then claimed his bow "Deathstorm" and an ornamented key as rewards.[2]
