The Order of Dominion was a branch of the Persian Order of the Ancients led by Amorges, a former member of the Persian elite. Unlike other branches, it had three Magi who served as Amorges' lieutenants: Gergis and the twin brothers known as "the Immortals".

History[edit | edit source]

The Order of Dominion served as the leading branch of the Order for centuries, assisting the Persian kings in subverting various nations and expanding their power. By the reign of King Artaxerxes I, the branch was led by Amorges, a former member of the Persian elite.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Order took advantage of the conflict and traveled to Messenia, Greece, where they attempted to consolidate power amongst the chaos. Using the region as their stronghold, the Order allied with the Spartan army against the Athenians and acquired siege weapons from the Cult of Kosmos.[1]

After their fellow branches, the Order of Hunters and the Order of the Storm, had failed to eliminate Darius, his son Natakas, and the misthios Kassandra, Amorges personally led the branch in an attack on the trio's home in Dyme, Achaia. There, the Ancients managed to murder Natakas and kidnap his and Kassandra's son, Elpidios, despite Kassandra killing several of their men and the Immortals.[2] However, the attack led the misthios and Darius to seek revenge by traveling to Messenia, where they worked to wipe out the Order.[3]

Instigating a rebellion against the Order's rule over Messenia, Kassandra and Darius eventually confronted and killed Amorges. In his final moments, Amorges reconciled with Darius, his old friend, by revealing that Elpidios had been taken to an island south of Messenia, where he was looked after by Prince Darius II of Persia.[4] With the deaths of Amorges and all of its other members, the Order of Dominion was vanquished.[3]
