History
Sometime between 1100 and 950 BCE a famed Dorian Treasure hunter plundered the most valuable goods known to man, one of these being an apple of eden. He hid his treasures on Korfu and spread clues of its location throughout the island in hope that his son would one day follow in his path and become a hunter like he was, but the son died before finding the treasure and so the tale went passed into legend.[1]
In c. 422 BCE the Misthios and keep of the Staff Kassandra decided to take a vacation on Korfu, her friends Herodotos and Barnabas worrying that they hadn't seen her for a long time travelled to visit her and set up a fake treasure hunt to try and make her alive again Following the hints she found, kassandra got in a tussle with some pirates whom she thought where actors hired to trick her, captured they intergoated her about the treasure and a mysterious letter but she had no idea what they were talking about. Realizing they were real pirates Kassandra made her way out of their camp in Alieos Village. She then made her way to the Lestikos Settlement there she found a letter written by the treasure hunterer, translated by herodotos it showed the way to a key used to unlock where the treasure was hidden.[2]
Finding the key next to the corpse of the treasure hunterer's son she made her way back to barnabas and herodotus, finding they had been kidnapped she made her way to the Quarry of Korkyra within she found a letter from the Captain saying where to find Herodotus. Freeing him from a nearby glen she gave up the key to the Captain for their safety but he sent his guards on them either way, defeating the pirates Kassandra ran up the hill after the Captain. Arriving at the top she saw the Captain in a frency killing his own men with a glowing metal orb, recognizing it was a similar artifact that she had dealt with when unlocking Atlantis she attempts to stop the Captain entering combat and eventually killing him. Kassandra aproached the apple on the ground, nearing it the apple interacted with her spear, overloading the spear and depowering it while itself shot off to the other side of the island.[1] Kassandra was then left without powers and reuinted with Herodotos and Barnabas.[3]
After Kassandra had left them Barnabas wanted to help try and fix Kassandras spear, so he sought out to find the artifacts location. Finding it within a crater he picked it up, its power corrupting Barnabas. He rampaged throughout the nearby areas, eventually being chased by soldiers he hid in the Temple of Zeus and holding up inside. Kassandra following his path of chaos snuck into the temple and found Barnabas praying to zeus to help cure his madness, seeing Kassandra he pleaded for help. Kassandra tried persuading him to give her the apple but in Barnabas delusions he thought that it was the only thing keeping him safe. the apple's corruptive power started worsening making Barnabas more narsisistic and mad, forming holograms around him he entered combat with the mishtios. Kassandra eventually beat him and was able to pull the apple from his grasps, burning his arm in the progress.[4]
Kassandra later destroyed the apple before leaving the island with Barnabass.
Usage
This Apple of Eden appears to have standard abilities of an Apple of Eden, such as conjuring tangible illusion and mind control. While activated, the Apple was able to induce insanity and maddening the user.
The Apple was able to depower another Piece of eden, that being the Spear of Leonidas. This is similar to other apples powers of negating the power of sertant staves of eden.[1]
