The COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). As of 21 February 2023, more than 674 million confirmed cases have occurred, with more than 6 million deaths having been reported and another 22 million estimated to be attributable to COVID-19, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in history.[1] It is currently unknown if the Templars had anything to do with the creation of the virus.

History

In early May 2020, Layla Hassan and her brother Rami traded emails regarding her disappearance, with Rami asking her if it was prompted by COVID, which she denied. She and her cell were all practicing the necessary social distancing requirements.[2]
