Remnant of the Ancients was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
Kassandra visited the blacksmith in Phokis to find a way to repair Amorges' weapon.
Dialogue
- Kassandra: Amorges is dealt with, and I have his blade. But it's useless... Broken, and the metal is strange. I should find a blacksmith.
The Oikos of the Olympians has a blacksmith known for his skill in working rare metals. I should take the sword there.
Kassandra travelled to the Oikos of the Olympians in Phokis. She spoke with an artisan smith.
- Artisan Smith: Kopis or kophinos—what do you need?
Kassandra took out the broken sword and showed it to the blacksmith.
- Kassandra: Have you seen anything like this before?
- Artisan Smith: Zeus's balls! Do you know what this is?
- Kassandra: Broken?
- Artisan Smith: It's adamantine! This stuff is priceless! And I don't mind telling you I'm the one man in the islands who knows how to properly work it. I'll need more adamantine to fix it, though. A lot more.
Kassandra nodded and took out several Image of the Ancients.
[Insufficient amount - Some Ancients remain alive]
- Kassandra: Will this help? The metal looks similar.
- Artisan Smith: What the - where in Hades are you getting this stuff? No, I don't want to know.
Kassandra handed over the necklaces to the blacksmith.
- Kassandra: Is this enough to repair the sword?
- Artisan Smith: I wish I could say yes, but then I'd be lying... Bring me more, and I'll make you a sword fit for a god.
Kassandra left to collect more of the necklaces. She later returned to the blacksmith.
- Artisan Smith: You're back! You got it didn't you? I can smell Adamantine, and you smell good!
Kassandra handed over the remaining necklaces.
- Kassandra: Here. Don't tell me you need more, because I've run out of necks to cut it from.
- Artisan Smith: There's real passion behind your words, I can feel it. I'm personally glad to say that these will do. The blood on them is a nice touch, by the way. Helps with the quenching.
- Kassandra: I do what I can.
- Artisan Smith: Wait here. This won't take long.
Outcome
Kassandra collected the Image of the Ancients from all the Order of Dominion members to repair the Sword of Kings.
