Freyr, sometimes Anglicized as Frey, was an Isu later immortalized as a god in Norse mythology associated with sacral kingship, virility, peace and prosperity, with sunshine and fair weather, and with good harvest. He was the son of Njörðr and twin brother of Freyja. He was regarded as the legendary antecedent of the Svear succession of kings.
Biography
As the Great Catastrophe approached, Freyr and the other eight Norse Isu uploaded their DNA data into Yggdrasil to be later redistributed into the human gene pool.[1] Millennia later, Freyr was successfully reincarnated as Harald Fairhair.[2]
Legacy and influence
Freyr had a totem named after him in the popular dice game Orlog. The piece "Freyr's Gift" would multiply the majority die by a percentage. An Anglo-Saxon man in Lunden possessed the piece, which he gave to Eivor Varinsdottir after being defeated.[3]
