As the First Civilization became mythologized by humanity, the Nine Realms fell into Norse legend as the various homeworlds of their gods and other races that existed along the branches of the great world tree Yggdrasil, which wove them together to form the Norse cosmos.

In the 9th century, the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan consumed psychoactive mixtures prepared by her clan's resident oracle Valka, which sent her on hallucinogenic visions where she relived Odin's memories of Asgard and Jötunheimr during the Isu Era in his attempts to avert his fated encounter with Loki's son Fenrir at the onset of Ragnarök.[2]
