The Writing's on the Wall was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Kassandra came across a case of propaganda attempting to undermine her mother's rule of the island.
After arriving in Naxos's harbor, Kassandra went to the nearby agora and noticed a crowd leering over a defaced wall. She moved in to get a closer look.
A man with a burn scar on his left cheek spoke to her.

The man pointed to the graffiti.

(Leave – "I'll hunt them down.")
Kassandra sighed.
The merchant returned to his stall and Kassandra begun to investigate the paintings around the agora. She looked at the ground beneath the first one.
She passed by the merchant and went to the colonnade behind his stall. Inside, a crowd was studying the graffiti vandalized over the mural. She walked through them and examined it.
She then went out opposite it and across the agora to find one more attracting a crowd. Kassandra approaches it.
Kassandra returned to Agellos to inquire about what she discovered.
Agellos stretched.

Kassandra found and entered the cave at Routsouna Waterfall and discovered a crack in the wall leading to a secret chamber.
At the bottom, she found the propagandist, Lichas, practicing his drawings.

Alternatively, Kassandra killed him there and then.
(If players returned to the merchant Agellos.)
Kassandra sighed.
Kassandra discovered the young artist responsible for the propaganda against Myrrine. She confronted him and was able to prevent him from creating more.
