The Rent Is Too Cursed High was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

A merchant sought the help of a mercenary. Kassandra answered.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Kassandra noticed a job posted on a message board.
- Note:
Traveling merchant betrayed by bandits. Need a mercenary.
She sought out the merchant and addressed him.
- Kassandra: I picked up your message on the board. What's happening?
- Man: The hardest part of being a traveling merchant is all the travel. Er... I mean, you have to find a place to sleep. I came across a bandit camp and they let me stay there. Even shared their wine with me.
- Kassandra: But then they robbed you. Because they are bandits.
- Man: I figured if I was giving them drachmae to stay in the camp, they wouldn't take my drachmae. It made sense at the time. I think. No more drinking wine at bandit camps.
- Man: All the bandits must die.
(Accept - I'll hunt the outlaws.)
- Kassandra: I'll help you.
- Man: What a relief.
- Kassandra: I'll be back when everything's taken care of.
Kassandra sought out the bandit camp and killed its inhabitants before returning to the merchant.
- Man: You're back. Have you killed them?
- Kassandra: I took care of them. Every last one.
- Man: I'm a man of my word, so here's your reward.
- Kassandra: That'll do.
