Kassandra spoke to a woman who looked to be needing help.
Kassandra:Need something?
Woman:By the gods, it's really you! The legendary mercenary who travels with the great historian Herodotos.
Kassandra:Er, yes. I met him during my travels in Phokis.
Woman:I know! I saw you talking while I was in line to meet the Pythia. Truthfully, I was only in line to see Herodotos. Anyways, I want to be a writer just like him. Is he as magnificent as they say?
Kassandra:I have to admit that Herodotos is an interesting fellow. He seems to know everything about everyone.
Woman:Just as I suspected! Since you are a fan just like me, perhaps there's something you could help me with?
Kassandra:Magnificent? That might be going too far. He certainly is... something, if not a bit pushy.
Woman:I would never have guessed! No... you must be joking. The fact that you know him is astounding enough. There's something I need to ask of you.
Kassandra:Go on.
Woman:Perhaps Herodotos would finally notice me if I started writing about his favorite muse. You! Maybe a story about you skinning a lion with your bare hands. Or wrestling a couple sharks?
Kassandra:So you're asking me to slay this creature?
Woman:I understand this isn't an easy task, but the lion must be killed.
("I'll slay the beast.")
Kassandra:All right. I'll do it.
Woman:They'll tell tales of this, mercenary.
Kassandra:I'll be back when everything's taken care of.
Kassandra left and located the lion to the south of Paros Harbor. After killing it, she returned to the woman.
Woman: Misthios! Has the beast been slain?
Kassandra:The beast is dead.
Woman:The gods favored me the day we met. Take this for your trouble, misthios.
Kassandra:I always finish what I've started.
Kassandra:You want me to spill the beasts' blood.
Woman:Yes, all of them must be gutted. Do you accept?
This quest is available after Kassandra has met Herodotos in Phokis, although it is unknown whether its immediately or after an unspecified amount of time.
