The Charlatan's Amulet was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
A merchant drew Kassandra's attention, hawking his wares.
Dialogue
- Kassandra: I got your message on the board. What's going on?
- Man: How about an amulet to protect you on your travels, misthios? My amulets ward of all evil!
- Kassandra: My sword is protection enough.
- Man: Then I'm glad you're here. An unhappy customer is looking for me.
- Kassandra: Your amulets won't protect you?
- Man: Sometimes magic needs a helping hand.
- Kassandra: You need me to deal with him.
- Man: The glory is all yours if you accept. Do you?
(Accept - I'm going to help you.)
- Kassandra: I'm the one for the job.
- Man: Good. Be discreet.
- Kassandra: I'll be back when everything's taken care of.
Kassandra left to look for the soldier. When she found him, she spoke to him.
- Kassandra: I've been looking for you. It's not a good thing.
- Man: All right. My destiny is out of my hands.
The man attacked Kassandra, and she defeated him in self-defence before returning to the merchant.
- Man: Has he been... dealt with, misthios?
- Kassandra: He won't be bothering anyone anymore.
- Man: Nicely done, my friend. Please, take this as thanks.
- Kassandra: All in a day's work.
Outcome
Kassandra helped the man by dealing with a disappointed customer, and was rewarded for this.
