Guardian Spirit was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe's and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.

Description

Naoe and Yasuke finds an orphan in Harima whose mother was killed by a ronin.

Dialogue

Naoe and Yasuke finds a young girl crying and praying in front of a small shrine in Itatehyozu Shrine.

• Orphaned Girl: Please... All I want is to be with my mother again.

NaoeYasuke

• Yasuke: Are you all right? Where is your mother?

The girl took a guarded stance.

• Orphaned Girl: You're one of them, aren't you? The ronin who killed my mother.
• Yasuke: I will not harm you. You have my word.
• Orphaned Girl: I prayed to the kami to make me a spirit too. So I don't have to be lonely and scared.
• Yasuke: You do not need to be scared anymore. I will take care of the ronin.
• Orphaned Girl: So the kami did send you!

Yasuke left the girl alone.

• Yasuke: Since Lord Nobunaga died, so many ronin have turned to violence. I must put a stop to it.
