Awaken the Myth was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
Kassandra returned to the ruins with the completed Sphinx medallion.
Dialogue
Kassandra returns to the Lair of the Sphinx.
- Kassandra: The statue. It's gone.
As she approaches the plinth where the statue used to sit, she noticed Gorgias lying dead near it. Kassandra inserts the medallion, but nothing happens. She quickly realized how it might work.
- Kassandra: It must only work at night. I should come back after dark.
Kassandra returned at night and inserted the medallion again. She takes a few steps back, unsure if it worked. Then suddenly, a light beam struck down the plinth like lightning. She looks away for a moment from the flash, but as she looks back, there the Sphinx appeared as if by landing.
Kassandra looks in awe as it relaxes and sits on its hind legs, smiling at her. Curious, she moves a little closer.
- Sphinx: Another challenger. I hope you're more resilient than the last one.
- Kassandra: By the gods! The statue came alive!
A snake appears beside the Sphinx's left leg - it seems to be its tail.
- Sphinx: I am no statue, child. If you cannot comprehend what stands before you, how are you to entertain me?
