Revenge Served Cold

Revenge Served Cold was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description

While visiting Gortyn, Kassandra's attention was drawn by a woman outside the Temple of Athena Poliouchos.

Dialogue

As Kassandra approached the temple on the akropolis of Gortyn, she heard a woman call out.

• Woman: Help! Won't somebody help me?

Intrigued, she addressed the woman.

• Kassandra: What do you need?
• Woman: Peace of mind.
  And revenge.
  Can you bring me this, misthios? We will give you all the drachmae we have.

(Accept - I'll hear you out.)

• Kassandra: I need more information first.
• Woman: The Followers of Ares are burning our villages and claiming our families for their sacrifices.
• Kassandra: Those malákes are making trouble all over the Greek world.
• Woman: That's why I want you to make them suffer like we have - so that our living can find peace, and our dead can be -
  Be avenged.

(Accept - I'll help you.)

• Kassandra: My spear is yours.
• Woman: Thank you, misthios. You have no idea how much this means to us.
• Kassandra: I'll need to know where the Followers are hiding.
• Woman: The Followers of Ares live in caves among the mountain ranges of Zeus' Playground.
• Kassandra: I'll flush them out.

Kassandra left the woman and the Messaran families she was the spokesperson to, and sought out the Followers of Ares. She also freed the Messarans in their clutches before returning to the woman, who was praying to Athena within the temple.

• Kassandra: The Followers of Ares are with Hades now.
• Woman: Thank you, misthios. How can we repay you?

I'm the expensive option.Justice is free.

• Kassandra: Nothing is free in this world, especially my time.
• Woman: I understand misthios, I only wish we could give you more.

• Kassandra: You can't put a price on justice. Those men deserved the end they got.
• Woman: You gave us something drachmae can't buy... peace. For that we'll be forever grateful.
  But we cannot leave you without showing our gratitude. Please take this. I have no need for it any longer.

Rewarded, Kassandra left the woman and the Messaran families.

Trivia

• The game will count Followers of Ares already slain in Messara before the quest is active. However, there is no special dialogue for having already killed 10 prior to speaking to the quest giver.
• The choice at the end only affects the amount of drachmae received; the belt is identical in both.
