Penelope's Shroud was a virtual representation of one of the Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan in 2018 through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Kassandra accepted the mysterious Elpenor's request to recover the Shroud of Penelope.
Kassandra departed the shore and Elpenor to recover Penelope's Shroud. The island of Ithaka rested across the waters.
Working through the ruins of Odysseus' Palace, Kassandra came across Odessa, imprisoned in a wooden cage. Kassandra freed Odessa after killing the guards.
(The above continues with the side quest "A Small Odyssey")
Kassandra found the shroud, intending to escape the Palace.
Having found the shroud, Kassandra left Ithaka and travelled to the Temple of Zeus near Sami. There, she found Elpenor and his servant.

Kassandra took out the shroud.
Elpenor's servant tossed a bag of coins to the table before Kassandra.

The servant then handed Kassandra a scroll.
(If "Who is the general I have to kill?" is chosen.)
(If "What can you tell me about Megaris?" is chosen.)
(If "Why choose me?" is chosen.)
(If "I'll take the contract." is chosen.)
(If "What war?" is chosen.)
(If "Why should I trust you?" is chosen)
(If "I'm right for the job." is chosen.)
Kassandra helped Elpenor to recover Penelope's shroud, but was offered to keep it instead. Elpenor offered her a contract to hunt down a general known as the Wolf.
