Flames of War was a virtual representation of one of Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]
Description
Yasuke was intructed by Oda Nobunaga to storm Mibuno Castle in search of Momochi Sandayu.
Dialogue
Yasuke joined the ashigaru soldiers to attack the castle.
- Yasuke: Light your fires! The wind will spread them. Arrows! Watch yourselves!
Iga shinobis arrived to attack Yasuke.
- Shinobi 1: He's undefended! Charge him!
After defeating them, he arrived near the main gate, finding more Iga defenders.
- Yasuke: Fight! For Lord Oda Nobunaga!
Yasuke then worked the other samurai and promptly defeated the shinobis. He caught site of a locked wooden door blocking the path into the castle.
- Yasuke: This gate will not stop me.
Yasuke then sprint and smashed through the door, and was greeted by more Iga shinobis.
- Shinobi 2: Stay still!
- Shinobi 3: He can't avoid all our blades!
After eliminating the shinobi, he overheard Sandayu calling for his men to retreat.
- Momochi Sandayu: Igans! Into the castle!
After killing more of the Igan resistance, Yasuke proceeded further into the castle. He saw his fellow samurai aiming a teppo towards the gate.
- Samurai: Taking the shot!
The samurai shot a jar of explosive near the door, killing the Igan guard and destroying the door, clearing a path for Yasuke. Inside he was greeted by a shinobi.
- Shinobi 4: Nobunaga's samurai are no match for Igans.
Clashing with the shinobi, Yasuke realised this warrior was much stronger than the ones he faced.
- Yasuke: Their armor is strong. I must break it.
After a short fight, he defeated the shinobi.
- Yasuke: One last door to get through.
Yasuke rushed and smashed through the last door to the inner courtyard at the top of the castle.
- Yasuke: (breathes)
However, he arrived to find it empty with no one in sight. His lord Nobunaga arrived shortly after, applauding Yasuke's efforts.
- Oda Nobunaga: My one man army.
Yasuke bowed in gratitude.
Outcome
Yasuke and Nobunaga's forces cleared Mibuno Castle of the Igans.
