After the An Lushan Rebellion broke out, An Lushan suppressed the Hebei counties by force and crossed the Yellow River. After his beloved son An Qingzong was executed, he launched a new round of offensive against the Tang army. After defeating Chenliu and Xingyang, An Lushan marched into Luoyang.
