Trouble Follows was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description
Himilko's new wife sought Kassandra's help, as her husband was in trouble again with a mercenary.
Dialogue
While traveling across Greece, Kassandra saw a contract from Himilko's wife on a message board.
- Note:
For the misthios who helped my husband Himilko, please, come see me!
Kassandra accepted the contact and left to find Himilko's wife, who was waiting just outside the town. Kassandra walked up and talked to the woman.
- Kassandra: I picked up your message on the board. What's happening?
- Woman: Eagle Bearer! I know what you did for my Himilko—how you stopped that traitorous Heitor from killing him.
- Kassandra: The fight between him and your husband wasn't something I wanted to get involved with. It wasn't my place to kill him.
- Woman: Well, I wholeheartedly thank you. I only wish our mercenary troubles were over.
- Kassandra: Mercenary troubles?
- Woman: I was really hoping the trouble with Heitor would teach my Himilko a lesson, but since returning home, he's gotten into trouble with yet another mercenary.
- Kassandra: And let me guess, you want me to kill him.
- Woman: I know it's a tall order, but I want this mercenary dead.
(Accept – "I'll kill this mercenary.")
- Kassandra: I'm in.
- Woman: Good, please be quick.
- Kassandra: Leave it to me.
Kassandra hunted down the target, then engaged the mercenary in a duel and killed them.
- Kassandra: Job done.
Kassandra returned to Himilko's wife.
- Woman: You again. Have you killed him?
- Kassandra: Your man is dead.
- Woman: You've earned your payment, misthios. Here. This is for you.
Seeing that Himilko seemed to always get into trouble with mercenaries, causing no end of worry for those closest to him, Kassandra offered his wife a position aboard the Adrestia.
- Kassandra: Doesn't look this life is offering you much, but another awaits aboard my ship. Sail with me – we need someone like you.
- Woman: My family is here, misthios. I can't leave them behind.
- Kassandra: Too bad. You would have loved life on the sea.
- Kassandra: All in a day's work.
Outcome
Kassandra hunted down the mercenary and killed them, saving Himilko's life again and gaining drachmae as reward.
