Onwards to Phokis was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.
Description[edit | edit source]
After confronting Nikolaos, Kassandra met with Barnabas to decide her next plan.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
Kassandra departed the cliffs where she had finally met Nikolaos, returning to Barnabas aboard the Adrestia.
- Barnabas: So, did you kill your father?
- Kassandra: Stepfather.
- Barnabas: I suppose the gods won't judge you too harshly for a "step-patricide."
- Kassandra: Nikolaos raised me. Trained me. He was my father, even if he did try to kill me.
- Barnabas: Is that better or worse? No matter. Yours isn't the only complicated family in the world.
- Kassandra: if you're trying to make me feel better, stop.
- Barnabas: What would make you feel better then?
- Kassandra: Finding my mater. She's alive, Barnabas! At least... Nikolaos thought so.
- Barnabas: Some good news, praise Hera. What's your plan? What course should I set, captain?
- Kassandra: For now, we go to Phokis. Elpenor said he'd meet me there. He owes me money and an explanation.
- Barnabas: Aye, Kassandra. And let's seek the wisdom of the Pythia while we're there. If anyone has answers for you, it's the Oracle of Delphi.
- Kassandra: The Oracle's predictions destroyed my family.
- Barnabas: The Pythia has the wisdom of Apollo himself! Now I'll admit, if people choose to ignore her, they might court disaster—
- Kassandra: If we'd ignored the Pythia, my brother would still be alive and our mother would be safe at home.
- Kassandra: I'll think about it.
- Barnabas: Good. You know, kings and queens travel to Phokis to consult the Pythia. She can start wars or end them. They say that—
- Kassandra: Yes, I know. That's enough Oracle talk for now.
- Barnabas: Back to business. You know where to meet Elpenor, I suppose?
- Kassandra: His home is in Pilgrim's Landing. But... Nikolaos's last words to me were a warning of snakes in the grass.
- Barnabas: Sounds like you should make extra preparations.
- Kassandra: Elpenor is the one who should prepare.
- Barnabas: Meet me at Apollo's temple in Delphi when you're done dealing with the snakes.
- Kassandra: Elpenor has a lot of explaining to do.

Kassandra returned to the Adrestia and talked with Barnabas about her next step.
