The Yokai was a virtual representation of one of Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke's genetic memories, relived through the Animus EGO.[1]

Naoe and Yasuke met a former monk-turned-demon hunter who hired them to investigate rumors of yōkai.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
Naoe and Yasuke assisted Mamushi in solving the mysteries behind purported yōkai sightings, only to learn that the spirits might be more real than they realized.
