Attacks on Tulum
Template:War The Attacks on Tulum were a series of attacks on the Assassin-headquarters in Tulum, executed by the Slavers, the British Army and the Spanish Army in the command of the Templars. The Assassins withstood all of the attacks, and finally relocated to the island of Great Inagua, which was owned by the pirate Edward Kenway.
Background
The Caribbean Assassins were stronger and powerful that the Caribbean Templars, under the leadership of two famed Mentors, Bahlam and his son, Ah Tabai. In 1715, Ah Tabai sent his best Assassin, Duncan Walpole to locate and capture the Sage Bartholomew Roberts from the Templars. However, unknown to the Assassins, Walpole was about to join the Templar order. Along with a blood vial, Walpole carried a map which would disclose the locations of important Master Assassins and the location of the Assassin headquarters. While on the way to Havana to meet the Grand Master Laureano Torres, Walpole's ship, the HMS Intrigue attacked a pirate vessel captained by Abel Bramah. After a long battle, the HMS Intrigue was eventually sunk by the pirates, but Walpole managed to reach the Jacobite and assassinate Bramah. A gun-powder explosion caused the pirate vessel to sink, killing all on board except Walpole and Edward Kenway, a pirate. Walpole and Kenway managed to reach ashore, where Walpole was killed in a swordfight by Kenway. While looting Walpole's belongings, Edward found Torres' letter and impressed by the reward, the pirate wore Walpole's robes and went to Havana in Stede Bonnet's ship, the Revenge. In Havana, Edward successfully delivered the maps to the Grand Master.
