The Siege of Louisbourg was a British assault on the French fort of Louisbourg in 1745.

History

While tracking the Hermeticist Nicolas Court, the Assassins John de la Tour, Achilles Davenport, and Achilles' wife Abigail arrived at Louisbourg. The English troops descended on the fortress soon after. The Assassins attempted to reach out to the French monarchy under King Louis XV, but the French chose not to augment Louisbourg's defences, assuming they could reclaim their losses in treaty negotiations.[1]

Achilles and de la Tour prepared themselves while Abigail searched the city for Court's safehouse. De la Tour fought alone in a last stand against the invading British to buy the Davenports time to complete their mission. Abigail found the deserted safehouse with only a note saying “SEEK OUT THE SKY WOMAN”, prompting the couple to flee to New York.[1]
