Apple of Eden #5 was a Piece of Eden, a piece of ancient and technologically advanced equipment created by the First Civilization to control humankind, their workforce.
Use: Designed to create illusions and control men's minds; can be used in conjunction with the Staff.

Modern Times
The Fifth Apple was located and recovered by Templars on the moon, but how it got there and how long it was there is unknown. According to Subject 16, "something was up there, something abandoned long ago."[1]
After the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy at the hands of the Templars, and the subsequent recovery of the Third Apple, Kennedy's Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson, who was a Templar himself, succeeded him as President.[2] Though Kennedy was targeted because many of his policies were against the Templar agenda, another possible reason is because he wanted to create a joint space program with the Soviets. The Templars knew by then that the moon was the location of a Piece of Eden, so they targeted Kennedy to ensure that Piece would be in their hands alone.
The Apollo Project was set up by Templars in the effort to reach the moon to secure the Piece of Eden that rested there.[1] Though they recovered it on July 20, 1969, the current status of the Fifth Apple is unknown.
