The 1751 Port-au-Prince earthquake was a seismic event that occurred on 21 November in Saint-Domingue, followed by a sea wave. The earthquake was caused by the defense mechanism of a First Civilization site, which was triggered by the Assassin Vendredi, who was sent to explore the site on orders of his Mentor François Mackandal.[1]

The Assassin Adéwalé later returned to Port-au-Prince[2] with supplies from the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins.[1] While there, he met and recruited his 15-year old son Babtunde Josèphe into the Brotherhood.[2]
