The Japanese conquest of Burma was the beginning of the Burma Campaign in the South-East Asian Theatre of World War II, which spanned over four years from 1942 to 1945.

On 1 January 1942, troops from the Japanese Fifteenth Army settled on the border of Burma waiting to march.[1]

In 2012, a photograph of the Japanese soldiers on Burma's border was acquired by the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek and hidden in the Animus for his successor, Desmond Miles to find. The theme of this Glyph was World War II in general, various other images from World War II also appeared. In September of that year,[2] Desmond successfully deciphered this Glyph puzzle titled "The Bunker".[1]
