Adamant

Adamant, known to the ancient Greeks, and later to Abstergo, as pathorica, was a type of nearly indestructible metal. It was notably used in large quantities by the Isu and served as the principle material in their Pieces of Eden.

In a simulation created by Aletheia, the Spartan misthios Kassandra encountered adamant in both its raw and processed form during her time in Atlantis.^[1]

Trivia

Adamant's name is derived from the Greek word ἀδάμας, ἀδάμαντος (adamas, adamantos), meaning 'untameable'. Adamant and similar words, like "adamantium", are commonly used to refer to any especially hard substance.
