Appearances[edit source]
Shouldn't this have appeared in every game with a PoE? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 11:58, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- As a matter of fact, shouldn't this also be the 'new metal' mentioned by Altaïr in his Codex, and the Precursor/Isu metal mentioned throughout the Hidden Blade article? Sadelyrate (siniath) 12:01, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- Possibly but due to the fact we don't know if they exhibited any extra powers it might just be a completely different metal also used by the Isu. It is mentioned as being an alloy while adamant seems to be a pure metal.
- Also where the hell is the pathorica from? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 12:53, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- I don't know if it's said in any of Layla's files (haven't got that far), but I do know it's in Odyssey's cycling load screen tips/trivia. See here around 53:25. – Darman (talk) 13:35, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- (This begs the question: should we archive and thus reference Loadscreen Hints?)(If yes, I may have written down a load of 'em already, from various games in the franchise. ;) ) Sadelyrate (siniath) 13:45, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- I think it appears earlier in the franchise; I doubt quebec came up with the term. As for Sadel I think there is merit in an article like that I'm just sad it has to be OOU. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 13:54, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- Minor update: So I was browsing around and I found where Abstergo named it! It's in Syndicate's "Assassin intel" files, specifically, "Reconstructed Data 002": Gramática says the Shroud's made of "Bathoricka" (sic}. – Darman (talk) 20:25, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- But in that, it’s defined as an alloy. Sadelyrate (siniath) 20:38, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- Ah damn, I forgot adamant is pure. Maybe it's an error on Ubi's part? But I doubt a scientist of his standing would mistake one metal type for another. Sorry for that.. – Darman (talk) 20:51, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- Ubisoft making a mistake? Never! /s Sadelyrate (siniath) 22:03, May 30, 2020 (UTC)

Ha! So, should we assume it is an error, then? The alternate name does have sources, even if Gramática indeed seems to have immensely fudged his metallurgy lessons. – Darman (talk) 22:10, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
- Actually though rare alloys can be formed naturally so it might not be a mistake, I had just assumed adamant was pure. Although it would also make sense if adamant was just one of the metals used to make pathorica. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 22:30, May 30, 2020 (UTC)
Pathorica etymology?[edit source]
Any ideas on this? Possibly pathos for feeling/emotion/suffering but no idea what -rica/-orica would be. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 04:34, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
