An adamant ore

Adamant, known to the ancient Greeks and, later, Abstergo as pathorica, was a type of nearly indestructible metal. It was notably used in large quantities by the Isu and served as the principle material in their Pieces of Eden.

In a simulation created by Aletheia, the Spartan misthios Kassandra encountered adamant in both its raw and processed form during her time in Atlantis.[1]

Trivia

  • Adamant's name is derived from the Greek word ἀδάμας, ἀδάμαντος (adamas, adamantos), meaning "untameable." Adamant and similar words, like "adamantium", are commonly used to refer to any especially hard substance.
