To Kill or Not to Kill was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Description

Kassandra followed the trail of her mother Myrrine and the Spartan general Brasidas to the Statue of Artemis in the Cedar in Arkadia, but Arkadia's welcome facade belied its hostility.

Dialogue

[Travel to hill, Brasidas betrayed by malákes mercenary Sosipatros, "warrior time," Hero Strike spam...]

Though Sosipatros fought better than most mercenaries she had faced, Kassandra defeated him all the same.

[Might be dependent on a previous choice. Been a while since I recorded this one]

• Mercenary: "Just a traveler," she says.
• Kassandra: Tell me where they are, or I'll cut that shit-eating grin off your shit-eating face!
• Mercenary: He said you had a nasty temper. He wasn't wrong.

Sosipatros slumped back on the ground.

Help me find my mother.Threaten - Tell me where she is or die.

• Kassandra: Tell me where my mother is or I'll shove my spear so far down your throat, you'll be shitting iron at the gates of Hades!
• Mercenary: Please! Show mercy!

Kassandra drew her spear.

• Kassandra: Speak!
• Mercenary: They're on a hill - a cliff overlooking Tegea.

Help me understand.Threaten - Tell me who's paying you or die.

• Kassandra: Brasidas didn't pay you enough? Who did? Tell me, or I'll wrap your guts around your neck and hang you from that tree!
• Mercenary: The Archon. He's paying more for your head than Brasidas could afford in two lifetimes.
• Kassandra: Tell me who the Archon is. I want a name.

Sosipatros laughed and stood up.

• Mercenary: Lagos. His name is Lagos. And he's the most powerful man in Arkadia - he who controls the grain, controls the world.
• Kassandra: You threatened the wrong people, maláka.
• Mercenary: I don't threaten, I promise!

Kassandra made her way to the hill overlooking Tegea and finally reunited with Myrrine and Brasidas. As she entered their encampment, she heard them arguing.
