―Riekr to Odin, c. 75,000 BCE.[src]-[m]

Riekr was a jötunn and the leader of Suttungr's Outriders who patrolled the dwarven homeland of Svartálfaheimr.

Biography

Riekr worked inside Ginnungagap, using it as a way to transport jötnar soldiers like her group of Outriders into the dwarves' homeland. During Odin's campaign to find and free his captured son Baldr, he encountered Riekr's Outriders, killing each of the scouts and retrieving all pieces of the Jotun Armor Set.[1]

Wearing the armor granted Odin access to Riekr's hideout within Ginnungagap. Not expecting him, Riekr the Æsir to single combat but was defeated and killed.[1] When studying individuals that could be used to power the Salakar device, Calder mentioned Riekr as someone with a potent soul.[2]
