"Look upon this land between realms. Look upon my uncaring face. Look upon my weapon. for these will be the last things you see, stranger."
―Riekr to Odin, c. 75,000 BCE.[src]-[m]

Riekr was a jötunn and the leader of Suttungr's Outriders in Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin at Svartálfaheimr.

Legacy

In Eivor's visions of Surtr's invasion of Svartálfaheimr, Riekr worked inside Ginnungagap, using it as a way to transport jötnar soldiers like her group of Outriders into the dwarves' homeland.[1]

During Odin's campaign to find and free his captured son Baldr, he encountered Riekr's Outriders, killing each of the scouts and retrieving all pieces of the Jotun Armor Set. Wearing the armor granted him access to Riekr's hideout within Ginnungagap. Not expecting him, Riekr entered into combat with the Æsir but was fatally defeated.[1]

When studying individuals that could be used to power the Salakar device, Calder mentioned Riekr as someone with a potent soul.[2]
