Riekr was a jötunn and the leader of Suttungr's Outriders in Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin at Svartálfaheimr.
Legacy
In Eivor's visions of Surtr's invasion of Svartálfaheimr, Riekr worked inside the Ginnungagap, using it as a way to transport Jötnar soldiers into the home of the dwarves, specifically her group, Suttungr's Outriders.[1]
During Odin's campaign to find and free his captured son Baldr, he encountered Riekr's Outriders, killing each of the scouts and retrieving all pieces of the Jotun Armor Set. Wearing the armor, he entered Riekr's hideout within the Ginnungagap. Not expecting him, Riekr entered into combat with the Aesir, but was fatally defeated.[1]
When studying individuals that could be used to power the Salakar device, Calder mentioned Riekr as someone with a potent Hugr.[2]
