The 1751 Port-au-Prince earthquake was a seismic event that occurred on 21 November in Saint-Domingue, followed by a sea wave. The earthquake was caused by the defense mechanism of an Isu site, which was triggered by the Assassin Vendredi, who was sent to explore the site on orders of his Mentor François Mackandal. While Vendredi attempted to make his escape, he was trapped by falling debris and killed by the Templar Lawrence Washington.[1]
The Assassin Adéwalé later returned to Port-au-Prince[2] with supplies from the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins.[1] While there, he met and recruited his 15-year old son Babatunde Josèphe into the Brotherhood.[2]
