Czechia, also known as Czech Republic and historically as Bohemia, is a country in central Europe. Its capital and largest city is Prague. Its predecessor state was the Kingdom of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire.[1]

History

In the 1580s, the British occultists John Dee and Edward Kelley, alongside Kelley's family, lived in Třeboň under the patronage of Count Rožmberk. Kelley eventually became a member of Emperor Rudolf II's court, but he was imprisoned in Hněvín Castle following the King's dissatisfaction with his slow progress in alchemy.[2]

By the 18th century, the primary headquarters of the Templar Order was located in Prague. In 1747, the British Templar Haytham Kenway met with Grand Master Reginald Birch in the city to hand over the journal he had recovered from the turncoat Juan Vedomir.[3]

In 1864, while visiting Prague, the Aurora Equestrian Troupe performed their acts while its acrobat Pierrette Arnaud searched for any clues about the "Magus."[4]
