Okiku (died 1562) was a Japanese concubine who served under the Imagawa clan during the Sengoku period.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1561, Okiku was invited to meet with Imagawa Ujizane's retainer and samurai Udono Nagateru to discuss matters of the Imagawa clan's legacy. The discussion turned sour once Nagateru spoke to her about her lack of success to produce any male heir for the clan. Okiku begged for forgiveness but Nagateru told her that it will not be necessary. Right after, Okiku grabbed her chest, became ill, and fell dead to the ground. While she lied dead, Nagateru admitted to poisoning her sake for her failure and impure blood.[1]
