The Napoleonic Wars were a series of wars taking place after the French Revolution during Napoleon Bonaparte's reign. On one side stood the French Empire and its conquered areas, on the other stood the British Empire and allies who formed resistance.

When Napoleon invaded Spain, his brother Joseph became king, eventually the Spanish Inquisition was abolished by Bonaparte.
