I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.

An Assassin cell headed by the Irish Assassin Oscar Kane operated in Vienna, Austria, during the mid-19th century.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1851, Oscar Kane, who was stationed in Vienna, ordered a fellow Assassin, Henri Escoffier, to board the Royal Navy frigate HMS Birkenhead, assassinate a target, and find a potential recruit, Simeon Price.[1][2] However, during his time in the city, Kane had secretly begun working with the local Templars, providing them with information in exchange for access to their inventions. By 1852, Kane welcomed Price as his apprentice, who took on the alias "Jack Straw".[3]

Within two years, Kane began to teach Price how to be an Assassin,[4] while secretly continuing his collaboration with the Templars.[5][6] In 1853, unknown to Price, Kane, under the guise of the "Magus", manipulated the Hungarian tailor János Libényi into plotting Emperor Franz Joseph's assassination, but the attempt failed.[6] To cover his tracks, Kane and Price tried to save the tailor but ultimately failed, as János was later hanged.[7]

By 1854, Price had grown disillusioned with Kane and his teachings and left his mentor in order to work through his own issues.[8]
