Hostage Situation was a virtual representation of one of Kassandra's genetic memories, relived by Layla Hassan in 2018 through the Portable Animus HR-8.5.

Kassandra met a woman who requested her help to rescue her sons.
Dialogue[edit | edit source]
While in Chios, Kassandra came across a woman outside her home calling for help.
- Farmer: Help! my sons—they're in danger.
Kassandra approached her.
- Farmer: Thank the gods, a misthios.
- Kassandra: What's wrong?
- Farmer: My husband's been murdered, and my two sons taken! Bandits have taken over our farm in the Forest of Tears, and I fear they'll turn them into slaves.
- Kassandra: Bandits typically move from place to place. They don't own farms and take slaves.
- Farmer: You're right. The farm wasn't always ours. We paid the bandits for it, and when we couldn't keep up the payments...
- Kassandra: I'm sure you had no choice... But you're right to worry about your sons.
- Farmer: The bandit's leader... He said my family would serve as a warning to others.
- Kassandra: You're sure there's nothing else you should tell me?
- Farmer: Yes. I'm sorry I tried to hide the truth. I'll find a way to repay you if you can bring me back my sons.
(Accept – "I'll save your sons.")
- Kassandra: I will help, but you should think twice before making deals with bandits in future.
- Farmer: Praise Athena! I will. Thank you.
(If "Where is your farm?" is chosen.)
- Kassandra: Where can I find your farm?
- Farmer: Our Mastic Farm is to the south of town, in the Forest of Tears.
(If "Where are your boys?" is chosen.)
- Kassandra: Where would the bandits have taken your boys?
- Farmer: When the bandits freed me to collect their drachmae, my sons were locked up on our farm. One's in the house, and the other's in a supply hut out back.
(If "What did you owe the bandits?" is chosen.)
- Kassandra: These bandits. What kind of deal did you make with them?
- Farmer: They would find us a farm to work on, and we'd share the profits with them. But then we found out the farm wasn't abandoned, and the bandits had killed the previous owners.
(If "How many bandits are there?" is chosen.)
- Kassandra: These bandits. How many are they exactly?
- Farmer: It all happened fast. But I'd say there were ten.
(Leave – "I have to go.")
- Kassandra: I'll go to your farm and see what I can do.
- Farmer: Please hurry! Deal with the bandits and save my boys before it's too late!
Kassandra departed after receiving information from the farmer.
- Kassandra: The farm is south of Chios, in the Forest of Tears.
She made her way to the farm south of the town, approaching the supply hut occupied by a number of bandits. After eliminating, she freed one of the sons held in a cage.
- Kassandra: Run! I'll save your brother!
Kassandra headed towards the house.
- Kassandra: The son must be in there...
After eliminating the bandits, she freed the second son.
- Kassandra: You're free. Go back to your mother.
Having freed the farmer's children, Kassandra returned to her in Chios, finding that her children had returned to her.
- Kassandra: I see your sons made it back to you, and those bandits won't bother you again. The farm is yours if you still want it.
- Farmer: Praise Athena! My sons are both safe and sound. Thank you, misthios. Thank you for saving my boys!

Kassandra helped the farmer to rescue her sons who had been held captive by bandits.
